LCD tv 32 inch, help needed with a recommendation

Hi there

I want to buy a new TV, now i'm looking for an LCD I think a 32 inch (though a 37 is also possible), the thing is I need it to connect to my laptop (dell d-630) that have a VGA outut, I don't mind about the brand, price should be around 300-500$

I've seen this samsung tv but i'm not sure it has a vga port (it has a pc port, is it the same?) what about Vizio TV are they any good, any Idea around here?

I have a Sony with a VGA port, but I've never had to use it, since my laptop has HDMI. The best thinkg to do is get out to the B & Ms and take a look around. Web specs are rarely accurate.

I saw there's also some kind of hdmi cables for non hdmi ports? heard of it?
