Anyone know of a lense that automatically resizes the picture from your projector to fit your screen in a home theater? Had a salesman tell me there was such a thing and can't find it anywhere. I have an Epson PowerLite 6500. Thanks

Resizing my projected picture

um, sounds like a pipe-dream.
There are adapter lenses to take a 4:3 projector into a 16:9 projector. There are long-throw (telephoto) converters, and wide-angle converters for a lot of projectors.
But a magical add-on? There are magical add-ons that integrate DSP, cameras, and all sorts of other stuff for correcting geometry against spherical screens and all sorts of strange things, while integrating 10 other projectors from odd angles, but you're talking a "box" that costs about 100x what the projector cost. (Okay, maybe not that bad, but they're costly.)

Why would you want to fit the picture to the screen? Films are made in distinct aspect ratios, and are carefully framed for those ratios. Resizing them to fit a screen ruins the framing, and thus ruins the art. I'll never understand why someone would spend the money for a front projection setup and then resize the picture.
As an alternative, for the proper way to do what you wish while maintaining the integrity of the film, you should get a 2.35:1 screen and then project everything under 2.35:1 with bars on the side. But you have to purchase an constant-height anamorphic lens setup for your projector (if it is available).
