Center channel mount for LCD TV that's *not* mounted to a wall?

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to mount a center channel speaker on top of a LCD TV *without* mounting the TV to a wall. 

I have a LCD TV on a corner hutch--and the center channel is wall mounted above and behind the TV--too far back in my opinion.

All the center channel mounts that attach to TVs I've seen attach to other mechanisms for wall mounting the TV--which I can't really do properly right now (I'm renting, for one). 

I really want to bring this center channel closer though--are there any center channel mounts that attach to the TV without having to purchase a full TV wall mount kit?

Check out the OmniMount CCH1B.  I haven't tried it, but I've heard others had success with it.
