Yamaha RX-465 hdmi /sound cuts out help needed!

All,

Thanks in advanc for a prompt reply,

This is the very first post to the site... Basically out of despiration. Not an AV guy-just bought some components to enjoy a few movies. Maybe a bit more than I bargined for...

In searching the web this is a commmon problem. When hooking from the cable box (motorola dcx 3200) via hdmi to AVhdmi1 (Yamaha rx-v465) av hdviout out to hdvi1 in on Samsung HMDI 

Configuration produces great picture but audio cuts out.( very frequently seconds apart)

In reading I found that there was updated versionof firmware available for the Yamaha. I have successfully updated the firmware-same problem.

In reading the cable box manual. As recommended I was able to set the cable box as pass through. -Still Same problem  raw signal to Reciever

 Who has overcome this problem and can you provide instructions to walk me through.

I have attemped to use the component option, same problem...
Only have problem when passing cable broadcast through receiver. Blue ray via HDMI, both audio and video is fantastic! (per my uneducated eyes and ears)

System info:
HD motorola dcx 3200 CABLE BOX
Yamaha RX-V465
5/ 5.1 KLIPSCH QUINTET SPEAKERS
KLIPSCH subwoofer (10)
LG 390 BlueRay
Samsung LCD/LED

Please help!

After checking many different items,  I exchanged for another Yamaha... same problem

Problem solved... I took back the Yamaha and bought a different brand. Denon works fine with the cable  broadcasting.
