My setup
Panasonic TCP54S1 Plasma HDTV
Home theater LG LHB977
VerizonFios / Verizon HD DVR
I have connected my new Panasonic TCP54S1 Plasma HDTV to my home theater system, which outputs 1080i/1080p signal via HDMI, Each time I turn on the systems, It takes about 10 to 15 minutes before the TV recognizes/shows the video output from the Home Theater. It also takes 15 minutes for the TV to start displaying video when I start a new DVD. This makes the system unusable.
Strangely enough, the Fios TV signal from the stb which passes through the Home Theater and goes to the TV via HDMI , shows up immedately on the TV.
The home theater works perfectly fine with my other HDTV TV which leads me to believe that the TCP54S1 Plasma HDTV has problem detecting the video signal coming from the home theater. I have tried changing the output resolution of the HT but it doesn't help. I am considering returning the Panasonic TCP54S1 Plasma HDTV
Anyone has had similar issues or could give me some ideas on how to go about this?
Best Regards,
Fred
