*** Official 10th Annual HTF October Scary Movie Challenge 2009 *** - Page 26

Sorry I've been unable to update my list here.  I actually watched a total of 122 this year.  Pretty good year! Had fun...but took more time to watch movies and didn't have the time to do all the comments like I normally like to and it became daunting.  I have my list and will post it someday.

I'm trying to locate the posts that had to do with the Mill Creek Horror Collection (a.k.a. the "Horror 250 Film Pack").  I know I mentioned it last year (I think it was in this thread), and I think some posters owned it and offered their review/thoughts on it.  However, I can't locate it with a keyword search.

 

Anyway, I was on Amazon.com today because I wanted to purchase it for the upcoming 11th Annual HTF October Scary Movie Challenge, and it looks like it is currently out-of-stock.  Dang.  I knew I should have purchased it last year when I was first looking at it.

 

Does anyone own this, and if so, what did you think of it?  I think I can track it down via some other outlets.  Thanks in advance. :)

Most of those classic movies are on other sets, like 50 movie sets: Nightmare Worlds, Horror Classics, Sci-fi classics. Alot of the movies are "junk" but so much fun to watch. There are some good titles and I watched a few gems for the challenge last year. The video quality varies but generally it's quite rough but certainly watchable. I picked up 3 sets of these (50 movie collections) for under $20.00 last year. Good money spent as far as I was concerned tacky movies and all.

Thanks.  I've noticed that most are available elsewhere in multiple sets, but I think I will try to get this set if I can.  I know that these will be a lot of fun to watch.  The cult aspect of many of these films should be worth the price of admission. :)

Is this going to be the official thread for the 2010 marathon?

I'll start a new thread if no one else does.

I am looking forward to attempting it again this year. I failed miserably last year (my mother got ill and passed away last October). But hopefully nothing will stop me this year.... and I do half way decent anyway.

Less then a week away now! Has anyone started a thread for a marathon this year? Just wondering if I may have missed it.
