That irked me so much.  There has only been 1 episode of this show (the Bryce episode) which hasn't made me want to quit watching.  The show infuriates me, and yet, they always manage to stick in a "grabber" in the final 2 minutes that has kept me watching.

Maybe she's like one of those crackpots that fall in love with serial killers after they get arrested. "Ohhh, he had a hand in the death of 20 million people. He's the ultimate bad boy." *swoon*

I continue to enjoy the show and found this last episode particularly fun. (Had I too lose one, I would jettison V first. And I've already ditched Heroes this season.)

Interesting to see parts of A Christmas Carol being shown, because I was just thinking about how people can change their future, the same way Scrooge changed his, after his encounter with the Ghost of Christmas Future.

So far I'm really liking this show. Don't see it on any cancellation lists so maybe it's going to make it.

I'd like to see it get a long, committed run like "Lost" so they can thoroughly fill out the story lines. Shows like this need a little time to prove  themselves and really get going.

Then again, we've got "Heroes". Originally one of my favorites but I can barely follow what's going on this year it's such a mess.

Don't see myself buying a 10 episode partial season set, will wait for the full season, hopefully sometime next summer. If it gets renewed for season 2 or longer, it's a definite buy, If it's only a one season wonder, let's hope they are able to wrap things up neat and tidy like "Life on Mars".

So far this season, FlashFoward, V, The Good Wife, Glee and White Collar are my winners and they all seem to be doing fairly well. The past few years I picked a lot of duds that didn't make it, Moonlighting, New Amsterdam, even Raising the Bar was recently canceled.

Just a heads-up for anyone interested in checking out this series. It returns on Thursday with a two-hour installment, but there's a one-hour recap of the season so far scheduled for tonight. According to author Robert Sawyer, the series will have plenty of "entry points" for newbies who missed last fall's episodes, but I think the recap can't hurt even for those of us who were watching then!

Saw the promos during Lost, I meant to watch this but never got around to it, and I ended up losing the episodes I saved on my DVR. I guess I'll catch up with the DVDs from Netflix or online.
I honestly thought this was canceled when I realized my DVR hadn't picked it up for a while and I couldn't find it on the schedule.  I was surprised when it showed up again this week.  Given that the Event is coming up (wasn't it early April?  or was it May?) I'll probably watch it up to that then drop it.

These season long stories shows like Flash Forward, Jericho, Invasion, etc are all failing to miss what made Lost and 24 successes.  Straight forward storytelling, not soap opera.

They are missing establishing interesting characters one can care about first before introducing the show mythos.

I did see the recap show the other night.

I was also working on the computer at the same time. So I paid attention more or less. But the sequence that I had missed originally was the part when the Director Wedeck had cashed in his chips with the President so that his group would continue their funding.

But what I wasn't clear about was why was the Director, Mark and Demetri were in that gun fight in the parking garage? And Agent Janice Hawk was at the same time also in a gun fight and shot. What did that have to do with the story? At first, I thought it had to do with the meeting Wedeck had with the President, but I think it's just a group that may or may not be involved in the blackout. And the same guys they found who had the blue hands? I thought it was a hit to stop the FBI agents from investigating as they were getting close.

If I remember correctly, they said it was the Chinese that were trying to take them all out because they were investigating the event but I don't think they've revealed why yet.

I watched the recap and realized just how much of this show that I had forgotten. I know people complain when serialized shows don't air big blocks of episodes in a row but the worst move that ABC could have made was leaving this show off the air for months because I don't think it had that devoted of a fanbase to begin with (I believe its ratings dropped every week) and even people who did stick with the show have probably forgotten about it.

Thanks Travis, I thought the reasons hadn't been revealed yet. Okay. I remember the morgue scene now.
I'm curious what everyone who was negative about the show's more recent episodes think, but I have to say, so far (3/4 of the way in), I think this was leaps and bounds better than them, and I liked them.
I've been a fan of the show from the start.  I thought tonight's episode/episodes were really great.  I'm looking forward to the rest of the season, even if it ends up being the only one.
I thought tonights show rocked.  I am also looking forward to the rest of the season.

Dominic Monaghan is the most interesting character so far. I guess it's like actors say, it's more fun playing a bad guy. He has the added benefit of being bad, but not the big bad. So we can root for and against him. He can be strong, but also vulnerable. He can be knowledgeable, but in the dark. His character is like the star sports player who takes a decent team and makes them really good.

Who knew Ricky Jay could play such a good villain.
Jay played a "Techno Terrorist" in Tomorrow Never Dies. That's the only thing I knew him from.

I thought those 2 episodes were great too. Really made a lot of ground in explaining things. Still some things to figure out.

I agree Monaghan's character is an interesting one. What is he and how is he connected to all this. We learned of some of his background. I liked how he called the bluff.
Ricky Jay usually makes the rounds on TV every few years or so.  Often as a magician or someone in showbiz.
Damn good pair of episodes last night. The show's finest outing since the pilot.

I love what they're doing with Campos. In terms of character complexity this guy is becoming the Ben Linus of "Flash Forward". Dominic Monaghan's doing a great job with the role.

And Ricky Jay!!! He's not an actor, but he has a unique onscreen persona that if used properly (Mamet's films, his "X-Files" appearance) can be VERY effective. Let's just say the FF team did right by him with this role, and Ricky delivered big time.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I hated seeing Jay's character killed off last night. He was so good he deserved a multi-episode arc.
FF had to come back with a bang to regain momentum after the long layoff, and I think they nailed it. "Let the wild rumpus begin", indeed!

Was Ricky Jay the teacher/mentor?  Speaking of this, where can I find full cast listing, (IMDB is seriously lacking on this show).  Becase the window washer/Sanctuary guy is very familiar and the guy who the Iranian woman was talking to in the shadows, (and we saw him breifly a couple other times, is also very familar, 24 I believe, as is Shoreh).  Also, the Uncle/Filos seems very familiar.
^ Ricky Jay played Dominic Monaghan's uncle. Gil Bellows played the window washer turned religious leader.

Ricky Jay's been a villain many times (and a good one at that).  He often shows up in David Mamet-scripted projects as a villain or semi-villain.  Fans of 'The Unit' will remember him as well (where he played a sort-of villain).

I thought this was the best episode they've had so far, but I'm still not TOTALLY on board.  I'll continue to watch.

OK, so I think I knew Gil Bellows from 24:Redemption.

The other guy seems to be Michael Massee, (Ira Gaines from 24).

Still not sure who played Campos' mentor.

Gil Bellows was also on the early seasons of Ally McBeal.

That was probably the best two hours of Flash Forward so far. It reinvigorated my interest in the show.
Yes, it was nicely done and I'm quite interested in seeing where it goes from here. Dominic Monaghan's character was a definite surprise going through quite a roller coaster of events in the two hours.

The circular nature of the flash forward was quite in evidence again.
Another very excellent episode again.  Looks like the break and some retooling was exactly what this show needed.

I hope the ratings improved on the 2 hour return.  The ratings for that were quite disappointing and lead me to believe we are just getting the one season.

In any case, I agree that things are picking up on lots of plot threads.

One thing that didn't seem right was the head Jericho guy's phone call being bugged. Maybe he was just lucky and it was just a cordless phone attached to regular phone line, but it looked like a cellphone and if that was so then tapping the utilities shouldn't have picked it up.

Meanwhile, we don't know the actual date in the show.  It obviously isn't the present day or else Dem's date with destiny would already have come and gone.  The hiatus has messed with this timing.
