When Michael told Creed he was a murder suspect and then it cut to him hauling ass out of the parking lot I was laughing so hard I almost passed out.

Once he asked Michael, I knew the joke was going to be Creed misinterpreting the situation but it was still hysterical.

Most cringeworthy episode in years. It could have been a David Brent episode given how much it made me squirm. I did like the scene in the car at the end between Michael and the new receptionist.
When people complain about being uncomfortable with Michael's antics, I am usually laughing at what he does. But tonight I was really uncomfortable (and I think for the first time with this show), so I can't imagine how the more sensitive people felt about. I guess we all have our vulnerable areas - making empty promises to disadvantaged children being mine apparently.

My thoughts exactly!

I thought it was funny.  Although Dwight's "diabolical plan" was really weak.  Jim never even seemed to acknowledge that he was set up.

Eventhough it's ridiculous, I love how naive (or dumb) Erin the receptionist is. I laughed out loud when she gasped when Michael said how he did something worse than murder. And it was funny when she was singing along with the kids at school and having fun.

Yeah, I was wondering if I missed how Jim couldn't figure that out.

Yeah, I was wondering if I missed how Jim couldn't figure that out.

Maybe Jim has figured it out but the writers are saving the reveal for later in the season.  Jim has never been slow when it comes to Dwight so I'm guessing this is building towards something, and it's not success for Dwight's diabolical plan.

Although through that episode I was thinking to myself that he actually did help them by giving them something to strive for, even though it was an empty promise.

I was dying when Dwight was making the complaint calls to Corporate as the other people in the office.

He did a very good impression of Kevin, I thought. Reminded me of this video:

Hope it works, for some reason I still cannot see embedded videos on this site.

can someone explain the kite gift?
Toby was currently reading the book titled The Kite Runner (also a wonderful movie). The gift of a kite was actually quite thoughtful.

It did seem thoughtful until you realize that Ryan's douchey tendencies came through in the choice of giving Toby a gay-pride themed kite.

Hello everyone!

I recently became a fan of THE OFFICE.

Been watching it nonstop for the past two
months off of TBS and FOX, sometimes up
to 5 or 6 episodes a night.

In total I must have seen about 60 episodes
thus far.

Recently, Fox has been showing the 2009
Season episodes which I find to be the
funniest.  These include Dwight starting a
fire in the office for his drill and Michael Scott
starting his open paper company.

The last episode I watched from 2009 is
of Michael and gang getting their jobs back
and letting the black boss go.

Does THE OFFICE end here?  They aren't
showing anything newer on the rerun channels
and I haven't seen any new episodes on NBC.

Did the show officially end or are is there going
to be another season of the show?

New episodes start this Thursday at 9pm, sandwiched between Parks & Rec and 30 Rock.

You really should check out the entire 2 hour block starting with Community at 8pm.  It's the funniest 2 hours on TV.

Too bad it runs into The Jay Leno Show at 10pm.

 Wow!  That was easy.

Excellent.  I am in!

BTW. the episodes with the Michael Scott Paper
Company.  I take it that was Season 5 last year?
I am guessing that NBC is still continuing Season 6.
Yes, the Michael Scott Paper company was season 5, and was the segue for Pam moving from reception to sales.

Tomorrow is the start of the second half of season 6.
Yes, Ron, the show is in its sixth season. I believe I read that Steve Carrell was signed through season 7 or 8. Krasinski and Fisher have said they'll stay with the show as long as it is on the air.
Unfortunately the first eight episodes of Season 6 aren't available on Hulu or on nbc.com.

The new episode tomorrow will be the 14th ep of the season.

Actually, it will be number 13.

^ As far as I'm concerned, you're both right. [NERD]It's the 13th episode from S6 but from a production standpoint, it's the 14th episode because Niagra (when Jim and Pam got married) was two episodes.[/NERD]

Clip show. Lame. Especially for the first new episode in nearly a month

And it's a rerun next week too.

Were some of those scenes either deleted scenes or from webisodes?  I didn't recall some of them at all, and to my knowledge, I've never missed an episode.

There were some alternate takes, for instance Jim's proposal was a closeup in this clip show but was shown from across the street in the original episode. I didn't notice anything obviously new other than that though.

I'm not a huge fan of clip shows, but this was one of the better ones. A lot of those gags still elicit a belly laugh, even divorced from their original context.
and to see old clips in HD is kinda nice.
Yeah, I was surprised when it turned out to be a clip show... I can't remember the last series I followed that did a clip show other than "The Simpsons" (which made fun of the thing the whole time, so it was okay). Somehow it feels tacky and out of character to do it on "The Office." But ironically, the faux documentary format could most logically have a clip show - and all of the sudden, I'm sure there are several more clever ways they could have used that conceit.

I'm guessing this was the trade-off for the big wedding episode, budget-wise.
