I adjusted my expectations a while ago for this show, and I liked Season 6 as much as the past couple seasons (meaning: it was pretty good, not great). As usual, on second viewing these are bound to get funnier, and I can't wait for the deleted scenes on the box set. But yeah, what's with all the dropped plots? The Erin and Andy arc is frustrating and we still don't know what's going on with them (I agree with Josh, that moment where Erin touches his leg was a little baffling). The past few seasons have been a mess, switching from one story to another, changing gears every few episodes... I'd much prefer a single plot (even two) than this constant switching around - it's like the writers (or NBC) can't make up their minds.
Definitely the most anti-climactic finale this show has ever aired - more promise than delivery. But I gotta say, Steve Carrell is still a finely tuned comedy machine. Apart from all the SNL-style "anything for a laugh" yelling and screaming (pretty common since Season 4), he regularly spins comedy gold out of "just passable" material.
Not that I could write for this show!
