SVS PC12-NSD or N.O.S. eD A5-350

I've got a family room that is approx. 24' x 14', with 8' ceiling that adjoins and is open to the rest of 1st floor as well as an open stairway to the 2nd floor. I am seriously considering either a used SVS PC12-NSD or a eD A5-350 new old stock. The SVS is less money, and thus somewhat more attractive, but the eD has more bang for the buck.
Any opinions on which way to go?

Thanks for your help!

BTW, the rest of my system consists of Pioneer Elite receiver, DTV-HD, Samsung BD, Paradigm Monitor 7 mains, Paradigm CC-370 center, JBL surrounds, and for now, a Yamaha YST-160 sub. Hardwood floors. Sub location now is a front corner, and is the most likely spot for new sub as well.

Again, thanks for any help you can render!

The eD.  It's a larger, 15" driver.  It will move more air.  Better yet, it will move the same amount of air as the SVS with less driver excursion and therefore lower distortion.  It's just physics.

That makes sense to me. I had to ask because I know SVS has an incredible reputation (I believe it's earned rather than just hype), and spotted an awesome deal on a used one. I also found a good deal on an old stock A5-350; I hope it's still available tomorrow...

Thanks for your input! Anyone else concur, or disagree?

I agree that SVS has a great reputation.  I joined up here while Ron and Tom were still active members in the DIY section.  Their current driver designer is one of the best in the business.

With eD, you will find a small group in the car audio world that wouldn't pee on Ben (the owner) if he were on fire.  Ben started eD while still in college and there were some growing pains.  Some people just hold a grudge.  Ben is now an award winning small business owner - http://trythis.pasmag.com/index2.php?option=com_content&do_pdf=1&id=543&Itemid=103

That's why I let physics decide for me.

I pulled the trigger on the eD A5-350 NOS; it may even be delivered tomorrow. I am stoked!
