Hi,
i got this cable ( http://www.1freeaday.com/pda1/images/10002274/image.jpg ) to output sound from my laptop to the LCD TV(Samsung LE26B450), and i am using VGA cable to display the picture( http://www.microprojector5.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/vga-microprojector-cable.jpg ).
The sound doesnt work. any suggestions? does the video cable must be an s-video to RCA so i ll be making use of the 3 RCAs?

You are using wrong type of audio cable, leading you to plug into the wrong jack.  You are plugging into an audio input that's probably associated with the component video input or something like that instead of the VGA input, if you switched sources you'd hear the sound (but lose picture).

There should be a 3.5 mm jack on the back of the TV marked PC/DVI in, that's associated with the VGA input.  Use just a 3.5mm male on both ends cable and plug in there.

Those are the same cables I used to connect my Dell laptop to my projector and stereo to watch a show that I had missed on TNT.  I had to make sure the volume of the laptop was full blast and the audio cable was plugged into the correct input on the stereo.  Re-check all of your connections to make sure the audio is connected to the correct input.
