One of the first things I noticed when I upgraded to
Snow Leopard was that the playback of any WMV
video file (and perhaps the same for other formats as well)
does not play back in a manner that you can move
quickly ahead to your favorite scene.
What happens is, the file streams. So upon playback,
there is a bar that slowly loads the entire video file. The
loading process is super slow as if you were watching
a YouTube file on a slow internet connection.
Now I have FLIP4MAC Snow Leopard Beta installed
and it doesn't make a difference.
I also have VLC installed, and with that, the video
plays back fine, but I hate VLC. VLC does not handle
fast forwarding or any kind of video jumping around
within the file without breakup. Also, VLC picture
quality for me does not look as natural as Quicktime.
Anyone experiencing the same problems with Quicktime
playback?
Thanks
