"Vampire Diaries" Season 1 on the CW - Page 2

Good episode. So does vervain only affect vamps if they eat/drink/are injected with it? I thought it was odd that Damon showed up with a bunch of vervain at the cops office and yet didn't seem affected by it at all.

BTW: Reading the books and I absolutely cannot stand the character of Elena from the books. She is much better on the television show. I think I am enjoying the television show far more than the books. That has never happened to me before.

Did they pretty up the aunt?

Is Logan also a vamp?

Still enjoying this show because it just keeps pushing forward, doesn't lollygag around plot points for episodes on end.

Logan is definitely a vamp.  Needed invited in (check), wears the daytime ring (check)
Logan was killed by Damon, right? And then Viki fed on him. He died or so we thought. He didn't get invited in at the end of last episode and I do not remember wether or not he was invited in before on previous episodes. Alaric definitely is a vamp becuase he has the ring and was not invited in by the aunt.

Oh sorry, I confused the two, I was thinking Alaric.

The latest episode was probably the best yet. Now that Elena knows about Katherine she is pissed and hurt. I'm wondering if it was Alaric that she hit with her car. And did anyone else get the feeling that rich kid (forget his name) oh yeah Tyler (?) is possibly a werewolf? The scene where he was talking to Elenas brother and he walks away because he was angry and they clearly show th emoon behind him...... I just wonder if he is a werewolf. I could be totally off.

Vampire Diaries won't be back till Jan. Bummer!

So now the little town is basically wicked full of vampires.  They are leaking out of everywhere.  Everyone wanting to resurrect the 26+Catherine.

What kind of bad ass mojo did Catherine have going on that inspires this kind of devotion?

Last week's return, where they just took off to Georgia was.. strange.  But I enjoyed the cast mix ups ;)

Kind of a stunning finish to the episode tonight...

I would like to know why the towns people just didn't stake Katherine?  Why lock her up in the old church?  If you stake a vampire that is it.  They are dust.

I have been wondering the same thing.  Heck we have witches and vampires.. Why not!!!!

Also, remember when Jeremy was looking at those drawings right after Viki "left" and they were pictures of demons or some kind of werewolf creature. Then they show Tyler watching Jeremy looking at that art during career day and of course they were similar art. Then the whole moon scene with Tyler...... I'm almost 100% sure he is one. They will definitely bring that into play soon I bet.

I really like how this series is moving along. My husband and I have always wondered if Katherine was really in the church. I've also been racking my brain trying to figure out if Alaric is Elenas real father. Something was said in another episode about Elenas mothers name and I thought I remember Alarics wife had the same name. I need to go back and rewatch the episodes.

I think it was that the towns people were actually going to kill all the vampires by burning them in the church, but the witches put a spell on it just locking them in to save them.

Just caught on DVR (the KSU game had all my attention last night).

But this was a damn good episode.   This show continues to prove you can have a big mystery, answer a whole lot of questions and create new, completely different storylines by doing it.

The mystery of the mother begins ...

I HATE these shows that take breaks for months and then start back up without my knowledge!  They kept showing reruns of the original eps and then flipped into new ones.  Now I gotta get caught up again...

Lots of action last night.  Kind of surprised with the characters that got whacked.   Sark is still a bad man (Yes, John Gilbert, just kidding)  :).  In one level, you root for him to do it, because you know, killing vampires not a bad thing.  On the other, his creepy motivation makes the whole thing wrong.  Did like that we got the backstory of how they became vampires.

This show is enjoyable twaddle, isn't it? :-D

If only Sark had staked stinker-Stefan instead of the wonderful Kelly Hu... :-(

Wowsa! This show is just keeping me on edge! I love it!

I am such a Damon fan. I love that he is evil and yet still shows a human side to him. Damon inlove with Elena...who didn't see that coming? I loved Steffon's little remark about " Not to come off like a jealous boyfriend" and then Damon saying " Well you are" was great!

I just noticed that the mascot for the school is Timberwolves..... wonder if there is a connection to the Mayor and his son being werewolves (when will they bring that up?)

Can't wait for next week.

I'm glad the writers appear to have a bigger plan for this show, it's been a fun ride for a first season, and nice casting of Mia Kirshner as Isabel.

Yep, Jenny Schecter (ok, yes, Mia) is so good in the role as a bitch.  The moment she showed up on screen I thought "they are screwed".  I'm enjoying the first season.

Not a bad season finale, they left the door open for some more familial vampire angst for next season.

Sark the Vampire Slayer has a nice ring to it.

Still haven't seen wolfboy come into his own, will have to wait for a full moon, I guess.

I thought that part was kind of distracting. The whole point of the device was to unmask "vampires."  Are we suddenly going to start revealing all sorts of supernatural creatures (though I guess we already have witches)? Is this going to just become the angsty-teen ripoff of the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood series (which, interestingly, was promoted during the last two eps)?

I did like the finale, though it seemed like Matt recovered very quickly from his anger at Tyler. Completely caught off guard by the reveal of Katherine, though in hindsight it made perfect sense and should have been obvious (why would Elena share such an intimate kiss with Damon after just making the, "I like Damon, but I LOOOOOOVE you, Stefan," speech).

Knew it! I guessed the whole werewolf thing early on and I was right. I of course was not expecting this device to play a part of their being exposed, but man was that good! The last scene threw me for a loop when Elena got all kissy with Damon. Then suddenly turned on her uncle..... did not see the whole Katherine thing coming.

I was very sad to see Anna go and now Jeremy will suffer greatly for this. I'm hoping they bring her back some how....some way. I actually really like the characters Anna and Jeremy. I hope someone tells him (possibly Damon) that he needs to feed in order to be turned properly.

Do you think that Elena will forgive witchy woman? I think that is going to drive even more of a wedge between them. Especially that she made it clear to Steffon that she will do away with Damon and take him down as well if need be.

Love Damon! He is by far one of the best characters on this show.
