I'd add the following for historical reasons:

 

ALL IN THE FAMILY, because it would so accurately tell future generations where this country was in the early 70's.

THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW, because it was such a cultural barometer of the changing tastes in entertainment during its run.

 

The following variety shows, because they epitomize the now-lost art of entertaining large, diverse masses using the best talent of the twentieth century:

 

THE KRAFT MUSIC HALL

THE DINAH SHORE CHEVY SHOW

THE GARRY MOORE SHOW

THE HOLLYWOOD PALACE
