Logitech X-540 Speaker System - Connect to - Sony KD32FS170 WEGA

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and have min knowledge of electronics. I have a Sony WEGA TV and want to have a basic home theatre system for starters. I want to buy a Logitech X-540 Speaker System and connect the o/p from the TV to the speaker system.

I have checked the TV and it has AV output. So will I be able to connect the TV to the Logitech X-540 Speaker System.

You will be able to connect the X-540 to your TV.  What are your goals?  Full, digital surround sound?  Then the X-540 needs a digital input that matches the digital output of your TV.  With this configuration you will only get digital surround sound when using the TV's internal tuner.  If you connect the TV this way then you won't get any sound or you will only get stereo sound when using a cable box, DVD player or a Blu Ray player.
