clearing all info off a cell phone

Any advice on clearing the info off an older cell phone? I have about three of them here, including a newer "Dare," and I would like to either cell, er, sell them or give them to charity, but I need to delete all the hidden info first.

Should I just go to the Verizon store and ask them to do it for me? Will they buy back their old phones?

It got all the stickers off, that's for sure.

I like the idea that with each new thread I start, I am have a whole new beginning, a new person, a whole new identity.

I am not the weirdo who likes peanut butter, used to work for Polk Audio, is happy that the remake of TAKING OF PELHAM 123 flopped (but is unhappy that it didn't result in a new anamorphic DVD of the original film). Here, I'm just some nice joe who needs to fix his cell phones.

So, don't hold any previous cries for help against me.

Cell phones?

Isn't there a reset button on most phones that restores everything to factory default?  Usually near the battery.  I know Iphones can be reset to factory through itunes software.

There should also be a factory reset option in the phone's menu system, most likely behind the icon that looks like either a gear or a wrench. That should clear absolutely everything in the phone.

If there's a MicroSD memory card in the phone, perform a long or full format on it. A regular format doesn't wipe out the data, and is easily recoverable.
