Which tweeter for AL115?

I have a pair of Allison AL115 speakers in perfect condition, except that the tweeters are gone.  What would be a good replacement?  I loved these speakers while they worked well, but I do not want to spend too much money now.

Which replacement 1" dome tweeter for AL115?

I have a pair of Allison AL115 speakers with busted tweeters, but in otherwise perfect condition.  I am a diy novice -- what would be a good cheap replacement them?

The optimal replacement would be the exact drivers from Allison.  If those aren't available, then you need to get some tweeters that have the same impedance, sensitivity and frequency response.  Anything else would be a guess.  If you want to guess then check out the tweeters available at Parts Express.  You may want to call a smaller company like Madisound or Meniscus and see if they are familiar with the Allison speakers and have a recommendation.

I also have a pair of Allison AL-115s. They are outstanding speakers. Mine need refoaming. I'll get around to it one of these days (when I have the money). There is an Allison Group at Yahoo, that Roy Allison posts to. Join them and ask. Roy may get back to you with an answer. See here:

There's also an Allison forum, where you might get some help, here:

Sometimes, people sell parts and drivers on eBay. Here is the page to keep an eye on:

They have a pair of Allison Ones on there now, that I'd love to have, even though they are the reissue ones. Good luck getting tweeters for your AL-115s.
