Movie Theater Ideas
We changed one of our rooms into a theater room, so in the process we brainstormed up ideas about our new theater and thought others would be interested in them. The first thing we thought of was the use of the room; which was for our family and we wanted it big enough for friends and extended family to be able to fit as well. Things we consider in the process: Décor, Lighting, Mood, Screen, Seating, Themes. Depending on the use of your theater room it could take a completely different look.
Décor:
- Color (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Earthy, Complimentary, Cool, or Warm Colors Scheme)
- Lighting (Floor, Overhead, or Wall)
- Movie Props (Movie Reel, Actual Movie Pros, Etc)
- Movie Star Boxes (Either with Movie stars or Family Members)
- Red Carpet (Approach to the room if any)
- Signs (Neon or Regular)
- Space (Between Seats and Walls)
- Stage Area (Raised or Flat, How Big, Etc)
- Style (Elivated or Flat)
- Vinyl Lettering on Walls
Seating:
- Bean bag chairs and/or sofas
- Blankets & Mats
- Couches
- Recliners
Screen:
- Flat Screen
- Projector
- Projector Paint
- Projector Screen
Extras:
- DVD shelf
- Mega DVD Changer
- Movie Posters
- Popcorn Machine
- Surround Sound System
- Snack Bar or Candy Counter
