Per TVShowsonDVD.com, the corrected copies are arriving, or already have arrived.  Excellent news.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check my local best buy.

$34.99. And it works (Season 3, Volume 2 discs, that is).

Picked up my copy today.  Transfer looks great, sound also very good.  All discs work without a hiccup, I'm happy to say.

I have been looking for the corrected sets at various Best Buy's. Haven't found any carrying them yet, I even found one with an old bad release still on the shelf. Also, no one in any of these stores know anything about anything to do with this issue. Is there any word on the release of these sets?

Same problem here. Went to local Best Buy. They had season 2 on the shelf but no season 3. Salesperson checked his computer (I watched) and could not find a listing for season 3 being available. I will check another Best Buy tomorrow.

Keep checking, it's pretty random. First, there's no record of any complete Season Three release on their website. There's still a 'Season Tree' but it's still listed as pre-order. I went to one of my local Best Buys and nothing but Season 2. On a lark, I went to another one within a few miles and, viola, about 6 copies of complete Season Three in the yellow-plastic wrap (the corrected versions).

Calling around doesn't seem to help because the staff has no awareness of this product, unless they will actually physically LOOK for it for you, rather than consult their computers. It's just strange how this release is nowhere in the BB system, but is physically in some of their stores.

Went to another Best Buy today about 10 minutes from the one I went to yesterday and there it was -- only one copy though so I grabbed it. I guess that means the next person won't find it at that store either.

Be careful.  At the Best Buy near me in suburban Philadelphia, there were six copies of Season 3 Complete...facing out on the shelf.  The first three were the recalled sets in clear wrap.  The three behind them were the replacement sets in orange/yellow wrap.

I think someone wanted the old ones sold before the replacement...otherwise, why not put them on the shelf spine out like a book?  Why put the old ones in front of the new ones?  Why not send the old ones back?

The floor salesperson said they will not be carrying the split seasons...of many TV shows...including ROUTE 66.

Not removing the defective copies from the shelf is sheer negligent. I'd let the manager know.

I got the season 3 set at Best Buy, in the yellow shrink wrap.  It was defective (picture freezing up on disc 2) so I exchanged it.  The second copy was also defective (in about the same place), so I took it back.  On my third copy, disc 3 would not even load in one machine, and kept freezing up in another.  So, I'm about to try for a fourth time.  I'm about ready to give up.

Not to mention my horror story that, after playing disk three of Season 3, Volume 1 in this complete season set, my blu-ray machine NO LONGER PLAYS BLU-RAYS. It can't read them. It's like all the clunking and whirring to finally play this SD decalibrated the machine or something. SDs play, but it can't read BDs anymore.

Ok, I thought it was me. I returned my first corrected set for freezing up on disc 2. I now have a second corrected set that is doing the same thing. I've called my two local BB abd they don't have anymore in stock. I guess i'll check one a little further away this weekend .But it sounds like it may not make a difference.
