Blu-ray with built-in Internet Browser?

Certain Blu-ray players along with the PS3 have limited online features.... is there any word of a product (besides hooking up a computer, duh) that would offer full internet browsing capabilities?  

I would think there would be something coming to market right about now.

There are plenty of sites on the WEB that uhumm show tutorials of certain how to's to make things do more than what they should.

Just search GOOGLE for em.

I'm sorry I was reffering to the PS3 you can but it's still quarky but they will fix it with some updates/add ons.

Ah yes, the PS3.  Given the price, I settled and purchased one.  The web browser seems a little limited (does not go full screen, does not support flash, etc.) but it seems the best out there right now.

There are thrid party products available... Play On (http://www.themediamall.com/playon), for example, lets you watch Netflix, Hulu, CBS, YouTube, CNN, ESPN and more on your TV.  It is software that resides on a networked server and works through the PS3.   It would have been great if I could load it directly on the PS3 (120gb - lots of room), but I am guessing Sony has all kinds of proprietary blocks in place to maintain control over its product.  

I would be curious to hear from anyone about what other options are out there - we seem to have the technology these days to no longer have to rely on the stupid Cable Company and their outrageous charges.

Which version software does your PS3 (the new slim one?) come w/?  More recent software updates (v2.3 and later I think) should provide some basic Flash support though I've found that it can be hit-and-miss depending on the site you go to (and probably how complex or large the Flash files/scripts are).  Last I checked, I could not get NBC's online TV show streaming to work on my PS3 -- and CNN's videos also did not work for whatever reason.  YouTube seems to work fine though.

I'd think Sony will likely continue to work on improving Flash support for the PS3 although I have no idea how long we'd have to wait for that.

Also, you can go full screen w/ the PS3 web browser though I can't remember how offhand (since I rarely use it).  Just dig around the menus, and you should find it.

I think the closest thing to what you're after would be the PS3.

I think LG and Samsung players would offer the next best thing. I don't think you can surf with them, but you can wirelessly stream just about everything else from your computer.

Other than that I'd like to know myself. I'm sick of going between my living room and study to both surf the net and watch TV.
