Starcraft II

I played the first campaign level this past weekend at Blizzcon and really enjoyed the game.

Although it will not be out until next year it's shaping up to be a good continuation of the series.

I'm looking forward to it. But it won't be the same as the original. I was in grad school with a classmate for a roommate, and spent many hours in 1:1 games. I'll never have that experience with SCII. So hopefully it's got a great single player mode.

I agree, I miss games with truly incredible single player story modes.  Starcraft the original was fantastic.  I'm still a Civilization fanatic, though :)

It really sucks that they left the game with a big cliff-hanger and waiting 12 years later to finally come out with the next installment.

Likewise. The end of BroodWar allowed for an exciting and logical story progression. I assume that's long since forgotten and has no bearing on SCII.

First and foremost, I hope it runs on my MacBook Pro hardware. Blizzard's been good about working with non-cutting-edge machines, so fingers crossed.

Actually, that is what I was reffering to. I did a search for some more information about Star Craft II on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarCraft_II

Knowing Blizzard most of the game play additions listed in the Wikipedia article will be radically altered before released, but I am definitely stoked for the game. Now, I just need to find a second job to buy a new computer so I can enjoy Star Craft II to the maxium extent.
