Culver City, Calif. (August 24, 2009) – Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is delivering a mind-blowing experience with the release of Hardwired coming to DVD on November 3, 2009 for the SRP of $24.96.  Academy Award® winner Cuba Gooding Jr. (Best Supporting Actor, Jerry McGuire 1996, American Gangster) Michael Ironside (Terminator Salvation) and Val Kilmer (Felon, Déjà vu) star in this explosive futuristic thriller where it’s a race against time as a man becomes the unwitting target of a dangerous corporation hell-bent on controlling mankind through mind manipulation.  From the co-producer ofAmerican Psycho, Ernie Barbarash, this film also stars Lance Henriksen (Screamers: The Hunting, AVP: Alien vs. Predator).  Special features include a making-of featurette.

Hardwired Synopsis

After losing his wife in a horrific car accident, Luke Gibson (Cuba Gooding Jr.) wakes up in the hospital to find his once idyllic life on the brink of destruction. Implanted with a lethal microchip and monitored closely by a Hope Industries' executive (Val Kilmer), Gibson is plagued by strange visions and haunted by a past he cannot remember. If he wants to survive, his only chance lies with a group of renegade hackers who may be the only ones who know how to stop the dangerous corporation before it’s too late.  The film also stars Michael Ironside (Terminator Salvation).
