HERE'S LUCY SEASON 2 WILL BE OUT ON NOVEMBER 3RD, 2009 - Page 2

Like several others have noted, I too grew up watching I Love Lucy during summer vacation daytime reruns and The Lucy Show and later on, Here's Lucy, when they originally aired. I recently completed watching the first season of Here's Lucy and enjoyed it more now than I did when it first saw it so many years ago. I really enjoyed the Jack Benny episode, with Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden right at the end. And how about the episode with the young Wayne Newton? Fantastic, imho.

The picture quality is excellent and the run times of the episodes indicate to me there are no edits. Someone cared about this release from beginning to end and knew what they were doing. Thanks MPI. My copy of the second season of Here's Lucy is on the way.

Loving it.  Haven't finished watching it yet (I often am juggling several shows; a disc here then a disc over there, etc.) but the burglar alarm episode was a scream.  The opening scene of the season premiere episode blew me away with how gorgeous it looked (as did other scenes in subsequent from their RV trip through the American southwest).

I have finished watching Season 2 and am very happy with it. The Colorado River episode is very colorful and the scenes breathtaking. Johnny Carson does a mini monolog in the episode, "Lucy and Johnny Carson". Like the first season, some of the shows feature more of Lucy, Luci, Desi, Jr., and Gale Gordon, and some feature a guest star from that era. It is great walk down memory lane to the way television used to be. I just hope the rest of the series keeps coming.
