Yamaha or Polk Subwoofer

Hey i was looking into buying a powered subwoofer but i wasnt sure which one to get can some one take a look at it?

I believe the answer was a suggestion that you don't buy either of the subs you were considering, but that you buy the recommended sub instead.

Neither Polk nor Yamaha are known for making first class subs. Not saying the one's proposed in this thread are not worthy of purchase, just that there are other manufacture's whose products are very well known around here and often recommended. Polk and Yamaha are not among them.

Of the two you asked about I'd choose the Yamaha by default because I haven't owned one of their subs yet. I have owned a Polk and a co-worker has a 303. Nuff said.

It's not that they aren't good, it's that there are others that are better for the same price or a whole lot better for a little more. SVS, HSU and Elemental Designs are excellent subs compared to most others.
