i picked up this DVD today at ******** mixed in with some other 5.00 horror titles. Some ********** seem to have a couple sections of horror dvds so look closely.

I got it at... that store earlier this week too. I was surprised how much better the movie worked with its original score (rather than some of the awful music on the old DVD). It's not one of my favorite slasher movies but I enjoyed it more this time around.

sorry I forgot about that street date thing.

At any rate the cover art is better and the film score seems to work better also. The sound even though it isn't 5.1 at all sounds full, most films split into 5.1 usually stream more so from front 3 channels anyhow and I was happy with the sound.

The image shows artifacts etc but in a way it is cool on this type of film. I would still buy a BD of it with artifacts etc, it would cut down on that pesky video noise that seems to affect darker scenes in mot all films in standard def DVD.

The next version of this movie on DVD should be the fully uncut one, just like My Bloody Valentine. I really hate owning a copy of a favorite movie knowing it was chopped to pieces by censors
