Anyone help identify this plant?

Can anyone help identify this "tree?"  I am having a hard time figuring it out.
  • It is extremely aggressive
  • Sprouts new trees from its root system. So it is coming up everywhere.
  • The trunks dont seem to get much thicker - just grows taller (almost like bamboo).
  • There are now around 40 of them growing in this location - some 15' tall.
  • Long pointy leaves.
  • Grows well in very wet conditions (growing here next to a creek).

I am fairly certain it is not bamboo.  The trunk is not segmented in any way - Nor does it leaf from the trunk.  Unless you can point me in the direction of a bamboo variety I am not familiar with?

What is in my yard looks nothing like this...

It would help if you posted where you live when you ask a question about plants.

That sure looks like a weeping willow tree to me.  Those dadburn things gum up all the smaller irrigation canals around here.

Your photos were taken in bad light so it's difficult to be sure.  A common variety of weeping willow has green leaves and yellow stems like this:

The leaves are certainly willow like.  Its just odd how this plant grows up from its roots.  I wasnt aware of a species of Willow that did that.

Oh and I didnt realize the forum does not have location listed under the names anymore.  It is in Tennessee.
