Thread Starter
I am experiencing extremely low level output from the LEFT REAR channel on this amp,in fact it is virtually non existant even at +10 db.
all level parameters are set correctly and all other effects channels are OK .
Any help would be appreciated!!

Trevor I just discovered this forum, so hopefully this reply is not too late to be helpful. I also have the RX-V1 and have experienced level drops and even total cut outs mainly with the surround channels. The problem is that apparently Yamaha cheaped out on the jacks for the preouts -they are prone to corrosion which causes volume to drop or even cut out ( this is because cables plugged into the preouts and then to an external amplifier causes -by design - the V1's internal amps to cut out ). The fix is to use the end of an RCA cable with some contact cleaner on it and work it in and out of the preout jack corresponding to the affected channel. It can sometimes take more than one go to restore full volume. Good luck Randy
