Pinky and the Brain
Now that only leaves the 80's Bakshi Mighty Mouse and the exact listing of the HB Saturday Mornings in the 60's & 70's volume II to hear about from WB.

I really hope that Tiny Toons set 3 comes out, along with Animaniacs 4, Zeta Project set 2, and hopefully Duck Dodgers.

I also forgot about Pinky, Elmira, and the Brain. I know some fans hate that spin off series, but any Pinky and the Brain is better than no Pinky and the Brain .

C'mon WB you can do it.

Still waiting for part 2 of the 60s Filmation Superman (and the Filmation Batman), not to mention the first season of Super Friends.

I don't recall this '88 show. Can anyone provide insight?

To be perfectly honest, the intro didn't ring any bells with me.

And I know there are other seasons and sets to get to, but I really admire Warner's commitment to getting their comic product on the shelf.  It's been a long haul from the Challenge of the SuperFriends release...

Well, I for one am thrilled. This is something I saw on TV only once, but really enjoyed it.

The good news is it looks like the Superman Family Album segements at the end are intact, which could mean good news in getting Superboy cartoons and the TV series going again. Should ask about that at the next WB chat.

Anyway, yeah, this is a get for me.

I am beyond thrilled for this set.  I was eight years old when it originally aired and it was *my* version of Superman I had growing up.

This series only lasted 13 episodes and was always intended as a limited series to tie in with the 50th Anniversary of Superman.  Besides the "family album" segments at the end of each show, the series had a lot of firsts as well.

It was the first time Lex Luthor was shown as a multi-billionaire w/Lex Corp, etc. instead of a mad-scientist.  The whole "Luthor as Businessman" angle was concurrent with what was happening in the comic books at the time and would be picked up by all subsequent Superman cartoons.

The series featured a unique blend combining what was going on in the comics (the John Bryne reboot) with the Superman film continuity.  The series incorporated the crystalline Fortress of Solitude as first seen in Richard Donner's film along with nods in the score to the famous John Williams Superman theme.

It also attempts to tie into the previous Super Friends shows by featuring an episode with Wonder Woman (voiced by B.J. Ward) based on WW's character model as seen in the Super Friends.

I'm so excited that I'm probably going to buy two copies of this set.  One to sit shrink-wrapped "just in case" and one to play!  This was one of my "holy-grail" DVD sets that I thought would never get announced.

Now here's hoping that an announcement of Superboy Season 2 isn't far behind...

Finally!!!! Bwahahahahaha! I absolutely loved this cartoon but had given up hope of ever getting an official DVD release. But seeing the Ruby Spears Plastic Man DVD from WB did give me a small bit of hope. I cannot wait for this.  Such and underrated cartoon series!  Thank you WB!!!
