Receiver for Mackie/Tapco Speaker Setup

I have a Mackie HR626, 4 Tapco S-5s and a Tapco SW-10.  Does anyone have some advice on which receivers would work best with this set of speakers and subwoofer?  I'm a bit of a novice when it come to home theater setup.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

Aren't the Mackies powered speakers? I've never heard of Tapco speakers, so I know absolutely nothing about those. I'm thinking that with powered speakers, you'll need a receiver with 'pre-outs', such as Onkyo's TX-SR 706, and above. If there's no powered speakers, about any receiver should work fine, unless they are 4 ohm or less. Then you'll need something like Onkyo's TX-SR 806, that can be setup for lower ohms. Maybe someone more familiar with your speakers will chime in.

The Tapco brand is manufactured by the same company that produces Mackie.  Tapco is the lower end brand.  And, yes, they are all powered speakers, so I need pre-outs.  While looking at receivers (lower-end) it appears that none of them have pre-outs.  I was hoping someone knows of a lower priced receiver with a 5.1 pre-out.  Thanks.

Buying a receiver for powered speakers is a bit of overkill.  All you need is a preamp/processor.  Of course, that is not necessarily cheaper.

Yamaha 665 is about the cheapest receiver with preouts for all channels.  Couple hundred than any preprocessor.  Onkyo 706 slightly more expensive.
