Welcome to HTF.  Your question is better suited for the Receiver and Amp section since that's what you are asking about.

If the sub you pick is a powered model, then just about any home theater receiver on the market will power them.  What are your other needs?  HDMI switching?  High def sound decoding?  Multiple component inputs?  Dual zone control?

Sorry about that. I guess I am wondering do I have to get a high level receiver or will a mid level suffice. Looking for 4/5 hdmi ports and dual zone control. $400-500

What do you mean by "high level" and "mid level"?  Power output?  Anything over 100w/channel will work fine.  You will probably never use that much power anyway.  Quality?  Then you have jumped into a very subjective area.  In my opinion, $500 gets you entry level.  But that is fine also.  My Pioneer VSX-1014 cost about $375 when I got it a few years ago and it works GREAT for what I need.  I suggest you find any receiver from a reputable company (Pioneer, Sony, Onkyo, Denon, Kenwood, etc) that meets your requirements and budget.
