New Pioneer Elite SC-05 Help

Thread Starter

I recieved the Pioneer Elite SC-05 and I am very pleased with it so far. The only problem I am having right now is getting audio from my computer to the speakers.

The speakers I own are the acuistimass 10 from Bose, and the motherboard I am using on my computer is a
GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R ATX Intel Motherboard.

I am running a Digital Optucal cable from the computer to the TV/SAT input of the reciever but I get no audio. I dont know what could be the problem.

I am also running a digital optical cable from my XBox 360 to the DVR 1 input and it works fine. I tried switching the inputs by pulling the computer cable and putting it in the DVR 1 input but still nothing works. Could it be a computer setting issue or could it be a setting in the receiver?

Thank you in advance and great website by the way,

-Isaac

I think you have to go into the set up menu and assign that optical input to the corasponding device, in  your case TV/SAT.  All the inputs on the Pioneer are assignable.  That is the way it is on my SC-27, the SC-05 should not be all that different.
