My sentiments exactly--I have yet to purchase V2 myself. And for the record, I fall into the 'purist' group comprised of Gary, Jeff, et. al. I would have bought V2 if there had been no other choice on the studio's part but to make many music substitutions. But the fact that they weren't necessary at all coupled with unprofessionly inserted and poorly mixed 'synth-cues inserted was a definite deal breaker for me. I just can't get over the ignorance of CBS/Paramount thinking that fans would be OK with it...still boggles my mind.

Although I bought S2V1 after the replacement program was announced, S2V2 was unacceptable in my eyes (and ears) so I did not buy it. Instead, I borrowed my brother's copy and got to hate it without having to spend a dime. If CBS brings us back to Season One standards with the next release, I'll certainly buy it.

we respect your take on this as well. I hope CBS/P continues with the releases regardless of the backscore changes for the sake of those here that want to buy the remaining studio season sets. It's a choice we make as collectors as to what's acceptable to us and what we say "no thanks, pass".
