I'm going to set up a system in my house, but not sure which wall mount is better for 72" LCD TV. http://www.av-setup.com offers tilted and flat mount. Any ideas? Thankks

Wall mount difference

Somebody makes a 72" LCD?  Wouldn't that be prohibitively expensive?  Plasma would be cheaper, at that size, as would DLP (although not wall-mountable.)  If the room has good lighting control, front projection would make even more sense.

Generally speaking, I'd avoid a tilt-mount, especially for a TV that size.  Tilt-mounts can come in handy in applications like a small, bedroom set where the angle can be adjusted so that it is comfortable to watch when lying partially propped up.   But when you're in a normal sitting position, tilting the screen will only distort the image.  The only reason you'd need to tilt the picture down is if you mounted the set too high on the wall.  And the obvious solution in that case is to mount it at the correct height.

Joe

I've used many different types of mounts and I'm partial to Sanus Mounts. Sturdy, fairly priced, good customer relations, etc.

I'm curious.  Who makes the 72" LCD TV you're talking about?  I can't seem to find on at that size.
