New setup soon, do you see any forthcoming issues?

Hello All,

My Dad is coming up on Tuesday to install my tv on the wall, which includes the power outlets and running the cables. I am going to have my components hidden in a coat closet. I have the feeling that I am going to have a lot of questions when it comes to actually hooking everything up and want to know if there is anyone here that I can lean on during this process? I can usually figure something out after tinkering around with it for awhile, but am hoping to avoid to much "trial and error"!

My current set up:

52" Sharp LCD TV
Sony Bravia DAV-HDX501w (DVD 5.1 surround)
DirecTV HR-20
Nintendo Wii

My new set up as of this coming Tuesday:

52" Sharp LCD TV
DirecTV HR-20
LG BD390 (Blu-Ray Player)
Pioneer VSX-1019ah-k (receiver)
Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 Speakers (5.1 set up)
Nintendo Wii
IR to RF to IR converter from SmartHome (to turn remote signal into RF)

My current plan is to connect the HR-20 and LG BD390 via HDMI cable into the Pio 1019. Then run the HDMI cable from the PIO 1019 to the TV on the wall. Since the Pio 1019 has the capability to connect to the internet via wireless network or direct connection via ethernet, I will be moving my cable modem into the closet as well to keep everything hidden. As for the speakers, this is the first set of speakers that I have owned that didn't come as part of a "home theater in a box" and was really impressed with the sound quality. I will be connecting these via 16 gauge speaker wires to the Pio 1019. As for the Nintendo, I think I will connect it directly to the TV when in use and store it when not in use. One issue that I am already anticipating as being an issue is the wiring of the speakers. According to C/NET these speakers require an unusual set up to get the best sound. The proper way to wire is...

1. Connect the subwoofer to the audiovisual receiver’s front left and right speaker-level outputs, not to the line-level subwoofer output jack.
2. Connect the front left and right satellites to the subwoofer's speaker level outputs.
3. Connect the center and surround speakers to their respective receiver terminals.
4. Set the audiovisual receiver's speaker setup menu with the front left and right speakers to "Large," the center and surround channels to "Small," with the subwoofer set to "No" or "None."

I know this is a long read, but is there anything I am forgetting or not taking into account? Also, do you see any area that I can set up differently to optimize my set up?

Thanks in advance for any feedback or thoughts.

I'd just wire the speakers in the normal way as recommended by the receiver manual.  The CNET recommendation is more for older receivers which may not be able to crossover as high as 150hz as you'd want to do with these small sats.

Thanks for the info.  I already have the sub cable, so I think I will just hook it up normal and let the receiver calibrate everything.
