When I click on a link, it doesn't open in a new window. Is there any way to change this? The new HTF is one of the very few web sites that behaves this way.

I noticed this early on and I believe that it was reported to the tech team. I don't believe that it is a high priority item because there is a simple workaround that I've actually used for quite some time on all forums I visit in order to maintain consistency throughout the Internet. All you have to do is RIGHT CLICK on a link and you are presented with a series of options which include "Open", "Open in New Tab" and "Open in New Window." At least that's the way it functions with IE8.
Try it out with the HTF Rules and Regulations Link in my signature to see what I mean.
I'm not sure exactly why the default is set in our forum to open in the same window rather than how it's done in most other forums. Maybe it has something to do with optimizing the speed of the forum? Perhaps one of the Tech Staff could clarify this. In any event, like I said, it's a non-issue for me because I now routinely use the right click menu method.

Thanks Robert! I didn't think of that. I used the "open in new tab" option in Firefox, and it did what I wanted. Thanks again.

Thanks for jumping in with the answer RAF! One other way to open the link in a new tab, Robert, is to press Control on your keyboard and then click the link. And one last option is to click using your scroll wheel on your mouse if you have one. Both of these will open the link in a new tab.
Hi Cristina, I tried using the scroll wheel and it didn't work. But thanks for the ctrl key tip. :)

how about changing the forum to allow for links to auto open in a new window/tab like most other web sites?
