I have been looking for a replacement sub-woofer for my JBL SCS 145.5 sub.( sat speakers are fine). I have pretty much narrowed the search down to a couple of subs, but then I stumble across a seller on EBAY selling the entire SCS 145.5 surround system for $129.00. I paid $ 300 + 6 years ago and it's still $268 on Amazon and over $300 on other sites.
I have been very happy with the JBL system and my first impule was to just buy it and have extra speakers.
However I'm a little concerned about how this seller can sell for 1/2 the price on amazon, and 1/3 the price at "authorized" JBL dealers.
When something seems too good to be true it often is. Other the hand i don't want to miss out on a great buy.
The JBL web site has dire warnings about "unathorized sellers". They say they may not honor the warrenty.
What do you think about this deal?
