Unless they've changed their policy, the 25% sale doesn't include any pre-orders.  The item[s] have to have been released before the end of the sale on Aug 2nd.

Ah, so the best time to do a second order would be after Tuesday the 28th, to catch any releases from that week.

Sorry... first Deep Discount sale.

Yep.  But you might want to verify that DD hasn't changed their policy of not including pre-orders in the sale.  That's the way they've been doing the sale since I've been buying DD durng their semi-annual sales, I think back in '05 .

That's usually why I place my order during the last week of the sale, usually that Thursday or Friday.  Donna Reed Show S2 release date is 07/28

They haven't.  I put Donna Reed S2 and The Lucy Show S1 in my cart, and the discount didn't apply.

Anyway, I already had plenty of TV shows in my first order.

Yeah, you have to wait for the street date before ordering from DD if you want to use their 25% off code.  It's been that way from the beginning, as best I can remember.

Gary "I ordered a few things Thursday afternoon (when the sale went 'live') and will wait till it's about over to order a couple more titles that have street dates later this month" O.

FYI for any "Remington Steele" TV/DVD fans out there.  DD's web site shows Season's 2 & 3 as pre-orders with a date of 10/06/09.  That is obviously an error so I placed my sale order by phone today to get those 2 in the 25% sale.  The CSR said "Yep, it's an error on our site".  New thing for me (phone order).

Looks like I'll have an even larger list when they have their Holiday Sale. (That dude in the Red Suit will pick up the Tab then!)

I picked up The Paper Chase: Season 1 and Criminal Minds: Season 3 at signficantly reduced prices thanks to the sale this time around.  Can't wait for the next one!

You'll like Earth 2.  That one's a rare (for me) post-80's TV/DVD set.  Is it a blind-buy for you?
