Help me upgrade!

Would love to upgrade my receiver with a new HDMI receiver or separates. Whats my next step up?

Whats your budget? Do you have anything in particular in mind as far as a receiver goes?

Budget, about 2000-2500. Want HDMI, better SQ than what I have if possible. I like Denon 5308 and 5805. Out of my range tho.

I'm sure there are probably good Denon receivers in your price range, have you thought about Yamaha at all?  I own one and know a few others that love their yamaha's.  Check them out.

Actually was gonna pull the trigger on the Z7, then I read something about the video processing lacking compared to the Denon.

I haven't heard that.  I wonder what the Denon could have that the Yamaha doesn't?  Sounds like the AVR-4308CI might be a good choice then.  I never owned a Denon but I know that Denon and Yamaha are pretty close competitors, I'm sure they're almost identical in that price range.
