Power Cable Causing Static, Feedback, Etc

Hello all,

I have hooked up my laptop (Gateway MT6840) to my TV and receiver. When I have the laptop's power cable plugged in, there is terrible feedback and static playing at a constant volume. When the receiver's volume is low, I can't really hear it. But as I reach reference levels it becomes quite obvious. While music is playing, it drowns it out. Anyhow, when the laptop is just running on the battery, I have no trouble.

What can I do to eliminate the problem so I can actually have my laptp plugged in?

Thanks!

I had this problem once & it turned out ot be the infrared, I would start by disabling/re- enabling devices one by one while connected to power, hopefully you will identify the culprit.
