CRT color issue.

Thread Starter
I have a 5 year old Toshiba CRT that functioned perfectly until a week or two ago. I had recently purchased a S-Video to Component cable in order to use Hulu, Netflix, etc. on my TV. After watching two films using said cable, I noticed a discoloration of the picture. Darker areas appear solid black, and skin tones most noticeably are red tinted and saturated, although the red effect is less noticeable. This issue is not merely with input from my PC, but from all inputs, leading me to believe that it is an issue with the TV itself. The degree of darkness tends to flicker as well, from very dark (to the point where the OSD is not visible) to moderately dark. Seeing as the television is relatively new (5 y/o is relatively young, AFAIK), I would prefer not to replace it.
Thanks,
Arjun

Five years is long enough for some things to "drift" out of adjustment or go bad.  What Tosh do you have?  There might be some simple tweaks you can try...
