Hope someone can help me here:
We bought a 42" Plasma LG 42PC56-ZD TV and from day 1 it had intermittent picture and 'No Signal' messages on the Digital tuner making most channels unwatchable most of the day which we put down to low signal to the property.
The other day we get an engineer come to re-fit the aerial and re-cable, who was then able to confirm signal was very good and demonstrated this on his hardware. Problem is the Digital tuner on the TV is still doing exactly the same thing!!!
We tried re-setting & re-tuning but still acting as though there is low signal and sometimes even affected when vehicles go past. We are temporarily using a separate digi box from another room which works ok but need to get the TV hardware working again.
The engineer suggested it could be the software, as BBC1 & 2 are ok and apparently their signal is different, tried Currys but unfortunately we are finding this out just after 12 month warranty has run out! Also tried explaining that this issue would have been there from the start as we put it down the signal strength but no warranty = no service.
Any help much appreciated before we pay for someone to have a look...
