Need connection ideas for bedroom tv , amp and speakers

I am trying to determine the best way to connect the following equipment for use in our bedroom.  Here's what I have:

- Panasonic plasma TV - TH-42PM50U
This tv is currently directly connected to our Directv Receiver and Xbox.  It has an Left and right audio input intented for use when using a DVI cable instead of the HDMI input.  It has no center channel feature, as far as I can tell.

- Onkyo TX-SR800 Receiver
I used this receiver as my main A/V receiver in our living room until the center channel amplifier went out on it.  All of the other speaker outputs are fine.  Component video is the highest quality it can receive and it is currently collecting dust.

- A pair of Paradigm Studio 60s

These were used in our main room for the surround speakers until we moved and had to replace them with in ceiling speakers.  They are currently currently collecting dust as well, which is a shame since they are really nice speakers.

We would like to put the paradigm speakers back to work in our bedroom with the equipment we currently own but don't know the best way to hook the system up with the center channel issue.  Should we:

1)  Simply connect the paradigms as stereo speakers and play all of the input sources through the stereo speakers and turn the TV speakers off
2) Hook the TV up as the center channel, using the pre-amp out.  If this is the case, how can that connection be made since there is only one center channel pre-amp out plug on the receiver and two audio input plugs (L/R (Red/White)) on the TV
3)  Keep the TV connected directly to the A/V components and use the receiver only for radio and CD audio.

We do not intent to put surround speakers in bedroom at this time but may in the future.  Also, does anyone have a clue how much it should cost to fix the center channel on the receiver?  You can still hear audio through it, it's just really soft.

Thanks!

I would go with option # 1. The tv speakers won't sound anywhere near as good or match at all with the Paradigms. If you wanted to use the tv's speakers anyway I guess you could get a y-splitter to connect the receivers center pre-out to both left and right inputs to the tv.

I doubt it would be cost effective to have the Onkyo repaired. It would cost $75-100 just to have someone look at it. I'm sure you could pick up a good used (comparable) receiver for that price. But double check the connections and settings in the setup menu's just to be sure it isn't an easy fix. Maybe the volume of the center is turned all the way down? It happens to the best of us. And to me too!
