Hi Kingfish,
When HTF changed platforms, email notifications were reset to send one weekly digest of subscription content. Here are the full instructions on changing your notification settings: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/wiki/subscription-tutorial#user_changesubsnotifications
We are working on changing the email notification system from a global preference to a per thread setting.

Hi Johnny,
We initially turned off the daily subscription emails to do a bit more testing. They should be back on now. Let me know if you're still not getting them.

As of this morning, I'm still not getting emails. I had already set my preference to daily. Just before writing this reply, I had changed my default subcription preference in the account area to "subscribe". I wrote this reply after that and the subscribe box was still unchecked and so I checked it.
I still am not receiving e mails.

I am experiencing the same lack of email notifications. I did not know of the need to reset preferences to daily. I'll look for that as I don't even know where to find that yet. I didn't see any place in the My Profile" section for reseting preference. But that was last weekend and the site was going on and off line then, so it took some doing just to upload an avatar.
I did subscribe to a thread yesterday, and I didn't get a message today of the new replies to the thread today. But it could be the preference setting. Thanks! I realize you guys are working hard on the new software.

Another question about notifications. This is the exact message I get through e-mail:

blu-rays. I wholeheartedly agree. I mean why can't Warner Bros. do a release for Vacation instead of just
rehashing? They should've made the disc a BD-50, put on a few more extras and bump up the video bitrate. And
they have the gall to call the current release of BEETLEJUICE an Anniversay Edition... []:

Is there a way to clean this up like the old notifications? That's almost impossible to read.

I finally got an email notification yesterday. It came during the middle of the day and not at night like they were before. It's one email with all the threads I'm subscribed to that had activity. That's a good idea. However, the links take me to the beginning of the thread and not to the first new post. That's not good.

I just got another email notification, so I guess the time they are going to come is mid-day. I wish they'd be mailed out in the wee-hours so that I'd have it in my email box in the morning. As before, the links take you to the first post in the thread, not the first new post. I hope this can be fixed.

The email notifications (particularly those with quotations) can be hard to read. Thanks for your suggestions. We will be doing a complete overhaul of the email system in the future to greatly increase readability, allow for granular email notifications, allow for "newest post to you" tracking, etc. Hang tight for a little while. We'll make it better.

In the interim, when you click into a thread from your email subscriptions, there is a "View first unread" button at the top of the thread. It does take an extra click, but it will bring you down to the first newest post to you.

Excellent! I fear what my inbox will look like when I get home from vacation in nine days!

Feel free to change your notification preferences to opt out of emails! I can only imagine what nine days away might look like to your inbox. Here is the full tutorial on how to do that: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/wiki/subscription-tutorial#user_changesubsnotifications

That's the way it works at the moment. I've already asked about this. There is a button at the top of the thread to take you to the first new post.
