Hi loomisx6,
Here is a full tutorial on uploading images into your posts, etc: http://hometheaterforum.com/wiki/image-and-video-tutorial
In your forum post editor, look for the square icon of mountains and a moon with a yellow background. This is the image tool. From there, you'll have the option to upload photos from your computer or embed others from an existing image link from another site.
In terms of finding the images you had, do you have any URLs for where your images were? Let me know if you have any additional information and I'll see if we can locate them in the database.

I'd like to know if you guys can recover my avatar picture from the old HTF software. I didn't have a backup of the picture, so I cannot upload a replacement. It was a cartoon of a cat dressed as a reservoir dog.

Hi Edwin,
Apologies about that. Our development ran into some wonkiness when pulling over the avatars and they're working on getting it straightened out. In the meantime, here is your avatar I believe:
Here is the image info page for the avatar: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/imageinfo/stuckinthemiddle-avatar-12224.gif
To add it (from this file) as your avatar, simply...
- Go to your profile page by clicking the "My Profile" tab on the top
- Underneath your current stock avatar, you'll see a button that say "Replace image" - click here.
- From the popover, you'll have the option to either upload a new image or use an existing image on HTF. In the field asking for an existing HTF image, paste in the file name: stuckinthemiddle-avatar-12224.gif
- Click "Add" and you'll be all set.
Sorry about that, and thanks for your patience!

Hello Stins,
That's the little critter. I thought she was permanently lost. Thanks for resurrecting her and thanks for the timely response.
