was wondering if there would be a big difference in sound quality if i placed my front speakers left right and center about 2 to 2 1/2 feet behind my tv see i have a 60 in mitsu dlp and i want to get my speakers off from stands and on the wall because of my little ones but being a dlp i can only get the tv about 4 inches from wall and from wall to the front bezel of the tv would be about 2 to 2 1/2 feet the reason i ask is because i have read all about speaker placment and of course you all know what they tell you was just wondering if there would be a dramatic difference......thanks

Re: speaker placment
It would not be a huge deal if you recalibrate after moving them (set the correct distance and trims). The bigger concern is the fact that speakers not designed to be put on walls will probably not sound good when placed on the wall. They need room to breathe.
