He's a better choice over that other guy they were considering.  Apparently the other guy was in Twilight.  I really hate anyone or anything associated with Twilight.  OK, except the lovely Bryce Dallas Howard.  :-)

As for Jason Momoa, he just needs to bulk up a lot more to play Conan.  Which shouldn't be a problem.

is that the guy from 10,000 BC?  Granted I only watched 10 minutes of that movie before it turned it off, but looks like him.

Besides that, they start filming in two months. How much can he really bulk up in that short a time?

Well then they might as well make a animated film, because theyre going to have to CGI his skin, facial features, and entire body to make him a believable Conan.
