Greetings all,
I have a Mitsubishi HC5000 HD projector with both DVI and HDMI cable inputs being used.
The amp is a Yamaha RXV2700 with a PS3 [HDMI], I also have a PC which is connected directly to the projector via DVI cable.
For some reason, when I power the projector up for the first time [after a few days of inactivity] the status light blinks and there is a low intensity light from the globe but that is it!
The light coming from the projector is only at about 20% it seems and you cannot get any response from the projector, ie it doesnt come up with the ususal full screen Mitsubishi banner screen, nor can you view the menu or anything else.
However if you click the power off button on the controller twice to switch the unit off [and confirm] the unit then does its fan cooling power down and after 3-4 minutes it turns off.
Now when I hit the power on button for a second time it powers up without issue!
I have tried powering on all inputs first, then the Mitsubishi, still the same problem.
I have tried powering on the Mitsubishi first, then the inputs still the same problem.
Can anyone shed any light on this issue, no pun intented.......
I also have the globe on the low setting and its only used around 20% of its estimated life via the on-screen display.
