Nice job by Disney/Pixar.

Click HERE for story. There's a video at the bottom of the page.

What a beautiful young girl. How sad.

Mike,

Hey, thanks for sharing. That's really a poignant story.

When I got to the part where she couldn't see the film, and was being told what was happening, it got quite cloudy in my eyes as well....

It's awfully dusty here too...strange coincidence.

Weird, that dust made it's way to Canada too.

Heart warming and heart breaking at the same time.

Re: Disney/Pixar grants dying girl's wish

People ask me why I love working for Disney. A company that responds like this? What's not to love.

Must be a continent wide dust storm.

Re: Disney/Pixar grants dying girl's wish

That's the saddest thing I've read in a long time.

Pixar acted quickly and displayed a lot of class. Through their willingness to make her wish their top priority, they allowed this little girl to enrich their lives in a profound way.

I wonder if the hospice company is aware of the extent to which they blew it? They could have been the ones to come through with a wheelchair and heroically grant a girl's dying wish. Someone just couldn't be bothered, I guess.

But then if the hospice company had come through, she wouldn't have gotten all those wonderful stuffed animals. I bet she liked the dog the best.

It is a sad news indeed. To think that the young girl is just 10 years old and she's suffering from cancer already.

I wouldn't necessarily jump to the conclusion that the hospice just blew her off. Who knows why they weren't able to help?

That is such a touching story. Props to Disney. No dust, but there seems to be a fog in my house right now.

Officially dusty in SoCal as well. Man you never know what these Santa Ana conditions are going to bring...

As if I needed another reason to respect Pixar...

Pixar rules and is a class act!

Sad and touching story. Got "dusty" here as well.

Geez Mike, I'm just about blubbering over my keyboard. That really hit home. Death sucks.
