How do I disable DVD Player?

Sorry to intrude on the iPhone lovefest but I've got a more mundane question.

How do I change the default application launched when a DVD is inserted? DVD Player always runs and I don't want it to. I'd rather a different app run by default, but no app running would also be fine.

Re: How do I disable DVD Player?

Just go to System Preferences under the little apple, choose "CD/DVD" and on the drop down menu next "When a Video DVD is inserted" choose "Do Nothing". I believe you can also select another app to open automatically, if you want. I just set it to "Do Nothing" for everything because it annoys me when stuff launches automatically.

Sorry, I was going from memory. It is "CDs & DVDs" in System Preferences and the option youy choose is "Ignore". Then the disc simply appears on the desktop and you do with it as you please.

Thanks. That was far too easy; I should have known better. I wish I'd asked two seasons of "24" ago.
