That Hamilton Lady in September

Criterion has announced a September 8th release date for this incredible movie, starring Vivien Leigh and Laurence Oliver. Just read the news in classicflix.

I was kind of sad because this was not included in the Eclipse box, since it was a perfect opportunity for that. But now I realize Criiterion wanted to give this title its special treatment.

Can not wait!

Re: That Hamilton Lady in September

Nitpick: The subject of the movie is Lady Emma Hamilton, but the film itself is called That Hamilton Woman.

Yes, you are totally right. I don't know why I wrote Lady instead of Woman. Can any of the moderators correct the title please?

Probably because the UK title was/is Lady Hamilton.

Outstanding News!
Maybe there is hope now that Criterion can also put out other (Goldwyn?) titles like These Three and Wuthering Heights, along with rescuing Scarlet Pimpernel from PD hell?

I'm very disappointed that Walkabout still hasn't been announced- but this is a fine, fine film that I look forward to seeing again. This will easily be one of the biggest releases of the second half of the year for me.

It's also all up on Criterion's site, along with yesterday's announcements of Mamet's Homicide, Blu-rays of Monterey Pop and Pierrot le fou, and Essential Art House discs of Le jour se leve, Gervaise, and Mayerling.
